Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I hit like, but I fully dislike this! It feels like you’re right in your 7-10 flu window. I hope you didn’t get kilingonits or the ramulan measles from comic con.

Me too, lol. But I really wouldn't be surprised if I did catch this at Comic-Con. We were packed in there like sardines, I touched SO many people. More people in there than I have EVER seen at one time.

Good Evening, Pond!
Busy here. Grandson, baby Granddaughter and their parents are here. They came yesterday, and will be here until Sunday. DIL's cousin is getting married on Saturday, so they came for the wedding. Came early because of possible dicey weather and roads over the weekend. I worked today and will again tomorrow. I'm tellin' ya, though, it was pretty tough to get out the door when that cute little guy came upstairs this morning, with his, "Hi, Grammy!" They came to school to visit this afternoon. It was fun to show the babies off.

A respiratory infection. So far she'd had a shot of meloxicam, a shot of enrofloxacin, and I have to give her tetracycline for the next seven days, which I'm sure she's going to appreciate. She was NOT good last night. I thought she was going to die. Luckily, I had a tiny bit of enrofloxacin on hand myself and dosed her, and put her under a heat lamp.

Right now she's eating, so she's starting to feel better. She's gotta go back for a recheck on Tuesday.

I tell you what, sitting in the waiting room at the vet for an hour with the flu wasn't a good time. They had tissues, but no garbage can, so I had to keep shoving them all in my pockets :sick

Ugh! Total suck about the vet, but glad she’s eating. That’s a great sign! :fl:fl

Thanks for the update!

Just gave Luna the first dose of tetracycline and yep, she didn't care for being toweled at all. I wanted to keep her out for a bit after so that she doesn't associate coming out of the cage with bad stuff, but she really wasn't interested. I tried to give her some veggies and she just wasn't wanting them, so back into the cage she went, and she put herself back under her heat lamp. Hopefully as she starts to feel better she'll take treats after the meds so it's not so bad for her.

Poor girl! :(

I feel bad for her :( She hasn't had what I would call an easy life so far. But it's very good that she came to me. Chances are she already had the infection when I adopted her. I don't know that her previous owners would have taken her to the vet and splashed out the money to get her well.
