Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Forgot, some gas stations gave you a free coffee mug or some other thing, if you filled the tank.

An uncle gave us our first car. An old old old, tiny two tone green Chevy coupe.
When the five of us got out of it, looked like those clown cars. Plus with our first Cocker- he used to snot up the window barking at the gas station attendant. Boy, those were the days. No corona virus, and 20 cent burgers at Henry's. Thought we were rich.

We were so excited with the car, we often just sat in it and didn't go anywhere.Lived in a new subdivision - none of the houses even had a garage.
My father was a self taught driver - won't comment on his lack of skills. He's the one that taught my sister to drive. All I know is she always came back home crying.

price of oil just went negative
Saw that. Not a good thing. One report said the price dropped 305%! Basically collapsed. I remember the consequences of when the oil market crashed in the 80's. Going to be interesting to see what happens this time. Have to watch close when the new contracts kick in on May 1.

:idunno
Here they said it is 10.14 a barrel ?
Possible to get back to .35 cents a gallon of my youth?
I heard it was minus $31 too.
For some reason from deep within the recesses of what is left of my brain comes .29.
I remeber Red Ace and Texaco having a gas war in 72 and 26cents a gallon Had a 56 ford 312 and 4 barrel . Big tank .
Lowest I remember paying is $.29
Things are higher up there.
