Did they keep disappearing???By Saturday she had 5 eggs left.
They kept getting broken. I don’t know if she broke them, or if it was the other hens getting in the nest with her.Did they keep disappearing???

Yes, I should have found a way to block her off. The first week or so, there were no problems, so I didn’t worry about it. I hate moving them, even though I’ve done so many times without issue. But the last one I moved was a disaster. The hen had settled in an unprotected area, and had been there for a week or more. I set up a nice place for her, moved her at night, and when I went to check on her the next day, every single egg was smashed, and the hen was berserk. I don’t know if it was the move that set her offf, or if the building I put her in wasn’t as secure as I thought it was. After that, I had a different hen who was able to successfully set within the flock - I got spoiled by that one, I guess. In my experience this has happened when other hens have access to a setting hens nest.
Good morning Pond.
