Has anyone here grown out Cornish X to laying age?
Oh nice. I bought 6 last week. I want to try and out cross, maybe to my game roo, that would definitely hinder second gens size but would add a lot of vigor in, or maybe my big EE roo. I figured, worst case scenario I put some fresh chicken in the freezer. Doesn't seem to bad a worst case to me. Lol.Yes, usually. I've used a random stick too. Whatever I have on hand that won't break.
I have and even out crossed them with English orpingtons but the second generation didn't grow very fast or quite as large. I'm thinking about trying it again this spring though.
