Good morning!
Well, we went all summer without being doused in smoke from some wildfire or another but last night it rolled in. Ugh. There's a fire in Trinity county - about 2 hours to our west - and since we are at the top of the big geographic basin that makes up most of California, it pours into our area and has a difficult time getting out.

Good afternoon pond. It's been a busy couple days with band camps, family reunions, work and now we have a new addition. This is Gypsy. He/ she was dumped at the state park that I work at a couple weeks ago with a duck (bonded pair). They finally caught him/her but the duck was nowhere to be found. I'm assuming a predator got it. Gypsy came home with me. I have no idea how old, what breed or even if he/she is a boy or girl but Gypsy is getting along well with my turkeys and with my gander Sunshine. I even started to get him/ her to eat BOSS from my hand already
