$15 a chick, LOCAL and NOT shipped, is awesome for a rare breed and color! If they don't like it, they could just NOT buy the chicks.

I find some of the comments on Facebook amazing. People trying to argue that rental prices should be incredibly low.... etc....




If no one buys the chicks at $15 each... wait until you grow them out... then you can sell the pullets as point of lay pullets at $30 each.

Yes, exactly! I had someone argue with me that they just bought 10 of them for $5 a piece. I have no idea where, because I keep my eyes peeled for them. I haven't seen anyone post any in our area other than one lady, that's an hour from me, that charges $10 a chick. I swear, some people just want something for nothing nowadays. I had someone tell me that they would never even consider paying that much for a chick. Like ok..... Have fun with your backyard mixes Or the easter eggers that are labeled Ameraucanas but I was seriously starting to wonder if maybe I was just overcharging. Because I have had one person, out of about eight people that actually thought my price was fair.

And thank you!! My last pregnancy was twins.... I lost one of them... But I'm nervous and excited to see if it's twins again LOL

Tractor Supply is probably the answer. They are selling "Ameraucans" which are of course Easter Eggers as "Premium Pullets" this year for $4.99 each.

So, lol, no they did not buy purebred Ameraucanas for $5 each.

Smoke is finally gone.

1st full week of classes complete. (Last week was only three days)
4 English (2 freshman, 2 sophomore), 1 choir, 1 art, and 1 Bible...it's a lot, but we are all doing extra this year. Hiring new teachers has not been easy.

I'm glad to be back in high school again. Although there are some similarities with 5th graders , it is really lovely to have more mature-minded students.
