We're all hatchin'! Congrats, everyone!

Okey dokey, now I have a problem....I don't remember if I started them Saturday morning in the early AM or sunday morning in the early AM....so this is either the end of day 18 or the beginning....I remember thinking it still counted as saturday.....Hmmm.....I'm about to raise the humidity and LOCKDOWN!!! They're rocking again pretty good, so we'll see!!!!

I'm thinking I should go ahead and go on lockdown tonight, too. I'm afraid they won't be able to pip the membrane if I don't up the humidity (it's been sitting pretty steady at 40% this whole time.)

I am going to spend a little more time reading the stickied hatching thread, I'll let everyone know if I find anything. Sure wish some of the hatching experts would come in and offer us some advice. Seems we are all pretty new at this.

LOL, yup, we're a thread of newbies!!! Except Shultz....I think.....I just put some paper towels down in the egg tray, and they eggs are rockin and rollin like they got a life of their own (duh!) I'm so freakin excited!!! It seems like now that I'm in the final stretch I'm having temp issues, wiggler went up to 100.2 so before I can completely lock down I gotta get it sitting right....

I noticed that my temps were up a bit tonight, too. I think it might be because the chicks are generating their own heat. I dropped it back down cause I don't want to cook the little things at the last minute.

I'm trying to figure out how to put a cloth down for the eggs to rest on and an extra sponge or something to keep the humidity up without the cloth getting wet.

I just locked mine down, too. I filled all the wells with water and put a maxi-pad under a vent hole so that I can add water with a straw (didn't have time to make it to Walmart for a sponge). Isn't this exciting?!? My family thinks I'm totally nuts now!!

They're all still rocking!!! I think the temps are evening out (I hope) I had to adjust and they got down to 98.8 and 99.3....But that was when the bator was open. We'll know in about an hour if the temps are where they need to be....everyone say a prayer!!! I added more water, and the humidity is close to 60% again....

My humidity is 68% and temp is 101.5. My eggs aren't rocking, but I did candle one before I locked the 'bator down and my DS and I saw a shadow move away from the light near the air cell! DS said, "Aww, that's so CUTE!" (and he's almost 25)!

Now the waiting begins...

for you all!

Well, my humidity is being a butthead....it won't go above 55% now all of the sudden. Temp seems good, I may have to adjust it again very slightly in another hour....I'm lookin to get everything perfect within 2 hours, cause I know it was sometime around 3am that I set them. The temp is a little too high for my liking, I don't like it going above 99.7 cause I don't wanna cook them!!!

I just put mine on lockdown, too. Pulled the second vent plug, set a cloth under the eggs and another under the vent for adding water, filled the water wells and closed it up. My humidity is up to 60%, but the temp is slow getting back up to the 100 it's been. I think that's because the second vent is open, so I gave the temp knob a little nudge. Will keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get too hot.

The eggs haven't been as active tonight as they were this morning, I hope the chicks are just resting up for the big reveal. Part of me hopes they start to pip overnight and part of me wants them to wait until Friday when I don't have to work.
