But I agree, putting a child's picture on the internet is risky, especially when your city/state is in your profile to the left. Then all a dangerous person would have to do is click on your name and look at your posts and topics. Likely find out where you work, what activities your children participate in, what the family schedule is like, what schools the kids go to, ages and names are already here in this thread.

Let me explain though, before you all think I am the weirdo. Nope, I am just a naturally suspicious person and I have a knack for sniffing out information when I need it. FYI, I am a 54 year old stepmom and DH is another person who thinks society has gone in a strange direction. No real protection or privacy exists anymore unless you make it that way.

Please use caution! This wonderful forum is available for anyone worldwide to see. Don't put too much info out there, it really is easy to connect the dots and peek into your life! DO be aware that there are cameras everywhere these day, and there are sick weirdos all over, too.

I understand being very proud of your children, but please be careful.

Lecture over, I want to say what a fine looking bunch of kids here! You guys are all in trouble in a few years!

Personally I may post pictures of my little guy but I NEVER post name's, the correct city we live in, or anything that would allow a stranger to track us down. And most importantly, we TEACH our child to be safe, no talking to strangers, no going out of our sight, the normal stranger danger stuff.

Nasty or not I'm just concerned. Whether you have the sense to heed the warning is up to you to decide. I love the word "snarky" I wonder if it's in the dictionary. I'd like to use it.

As for your side note. I don't believe in live and let live. If we all believed that we'd still have slavery and women wouldn't have rights. As for the whole "not passing judgement on others", that's just not true. Everyone judges it just depends on how personal it gets. See you just judged me a "nasty" and "judgemental". And you judged my apology as insincere.
And you indirectly posted a "warning" of sorts, by stating your rules for posting pics.
Like I said I'm just concerned. The authorities are concerned this is why they write news articles about using caution when posting personal information to the internet. Once again I am sorry some don't have enough sense to NOT get upset, and see my good intentions.
