Well, I went out to take pics and ended up sitting out with the birds while they free-ranged for a good solid 2hrs! It's warm today here, around 54F, no wind, a bit of sun with cows on the hill & geese flying by above. Nice day for sure!

How about you? Did you enjoy the nice weather with your chickies?

I do not know the breed of all of them, so if you know what the tiny gray/yellow two are, let me know. Also, the big red/brown ones, no idea..lol. Yes, I have finally started free-ranging a month ago. Though, I only do it when I am home, so after work and weekends.

Coop 3days after I cleaned it, nice and roomy!! The newer chickens roost on the window frame or pile in the crates. Only the Japs roost all the way up top.

I am in PA it got to 36 degrees today and it felt so much warmer then it has latley. So ofcoarse I did. lol I sat out with the chickens and my 2 youngest dogs for a while. It was what I needed.

Felt like a heat wave today!! High 30's.
I did spend a lot more time in the coop today! It has been so cold that it's hurry hurry hurry to get the chores done!

I love to sit out with my chickens in warm weather! Today was a different story... It was in the 30's and pouring down rain.

I am so ready for spring and summer!

In California it's... 70 degrees, I guess? Spring has come really early! So I lock the big girls up in the run (they try to establish a pecking order with chicks that are too small to be pecked) and set a towel out on the grass and let my 2 EE chicks run around in the bushes. Then the 2 little girls come over to me and take a sun-nap in my hair. I don't mind naps, but if they poop in my hair...
