West Tennessee Thread

Anybody knoe anything about green egg layers? I've heard everything from americauna, to Legbars, to Easter eggers. Reason asking is I have 6 green eggs due to hatch Monday and have no clue what they are!?!?

Typically they are Americana / Easter Eggers. There are others that lay green or olive.. Post some pics when they hatch maybe we can tell more.. Good luck on the hatch.

Have you any Mallards? I am still looking for a hen or two.

Well hi "someday" neighbor. I'm planning on retiring to Paris, TN in the spring of next year and have recently joined BYC to learn from the experts. I'm glad there is a W. TN thread as it will make it easier to access info, goods, meetings, etc. when the happy day arrives. (I've already got a plan for 15-20 hens.) I also really appreciate all the wonderful coop pictures, plans and stories. Thank you, everyone, for your generosity in sharing information.

Welcome to BYC from West TN ! Paris is a nice place. As you have probably already discovered there is plenty of good stuff to be found here.

I'm not sure where sweet lips is, I am in Lauderdale County. They are just mixed breeds from brown eggs. It was my first time incubating and just found the cheapest, closest eggs I could get.

I live right outside of Memphis, TN in Millington. Does anyone around me have a New Hampshire Red rooster they would like to sell. I think mine is broke, he has beem matured for over 5months now with no fertile eggs. He is needing to be replaced since he isn't doing his job.
