West Virginia anyone?

All 15 I just hatched are EE/Cochin mix. They came from beautiful blue eggs and half of them have the feathers down the legs. If it helps you any, 75% of mine look exactly like that one you just hatched. I got them from a farm that had all purebred chickens but they all ran together so it's hard to tell what I will end up with.

Aww! Those sound pretty! I love feather leg chickens! I have 3 Cochins (2 of which are frizzle) and they are awesome! I talked to the breeder and she said she thinks my chick is EE crossed with Old English Black Orpington.

Anyone local have day old or at least very young chicks of ANY breed?? Even mixes are FINE!! The baby I showed you before needs a friends ASAP!!! Sadly, I opened all of my over due (12) eggs tonight and all were fully formed and deceased. Haven't found the cause yet. So heartbreaking!!

But have to find at least one buddy for the lone surviving chick since I work and can't be with him/her all the time. I will drive a little if need be. Any help is appreciated!!

I know its a straight shot because I go past Fairmont on my way home from PA and follow the interstate straight towards Charleston. I am before Charleston by about 45 minutes.

Oh ok! I think you're maybe an hour from me. I may take you up on that if I don't find any locally. I would drive tonight and get them if I didn't have to work all week. Thank you SOOO much for the offer!! I will let you know ASAP if I am able to make it down your way.

No problem. I have plenty with a batch of BCM and silkies due to hatch next week. The newest ones are 4 days old and they are from a sex link roo and a sex link hen but I also have the EE Cochins if you would rather have one or 2 of those. They are 7 days old. Depending on what time you come down this way, I could meet you somewhere. I think the Wallback exit is actually about 10 miles closer to you and I am in the middle between Wallback and Amma. Let me know if you want some pictures
