West Virginia anyone?

That's what Ihave heard, but I'm scared to end up with a sickly chick. I think I am just going to go with 50/50. I don't do much selling of chicks anyway, they usually end of just staying here forever. lol. I do plan to sell some if I can get the frizzles hatching out well. They are not yet laying. I have only had them about a month. The previous owner THOUGHT they had started laying, but wasn't sure that the eggs were from them. THey were just hatched this Spring, so they may hold out till next Spring. I do know that the rooster has um....figured out his job...lol.

Hi!!! My hubby has been telling me the same thing!! LOL I already bought the chicken safe covered dome lights and already have electric in them but hav been waiting WEEKS for him to mount them! We have 3 chicken houses, all of which need lights. If he doesn't get it done this week I will be taking matters into my own hands! LOL Mine aren't laying much now either. You will have to let me know when they get laying if you want to sell any eggs. Did you say any of yours were grouped by breed or are they all mixed? Sometimes I'm ok with mixes. I have a few myself but I'm looking for a few specific breed to add to my flock soon. :) I used to live in Morgantown (Westover) for a few years, but back in Marion County now. Actually in the Fairview area out in the country. Much more our speed. :)
Lol. if you do let me know.

Hey fellow West Virginians!
If anyone is looking for a young rooster to add to their flock I have 3 that need to find new homes. They are Golden Comets mutts. Born in July and I just don't have the room for them.

Let me know

My lights have been on in the hen house and the eggs are starting to reappear. I am so excited. Also found a home for one rooster tonight. Still two more to go.

Congrats!!!!!!! so adorable. I have 15 that I hatched this past week. What breed is your new baby?

Well, the eggs were from a Morgantown breeder but she doesn't keep each breed separate, SO all can I say is I am pretty certain mama hen was an EE. It was a lovely bluish green egg, so that's my guess from the breed list she gave me. I have 2 more shaking in the bator right now and a total of 12 more that were moving at lockdown, so hopefully an active day of hatching tomorrow! I have to Leghorns in the bator (one of which is rocking as we speak) and the rest are just mystery eggs! She gave me a breed list and said you could have any of these or a mix of any of these! LOL This was a test run with my bator and to teach my kiddos about hatching. My cochins (covered by a frizzle roo) just started laying, so they are going in when this group finishes up this week. Pretty certain the other rockin egg at the moment is a RIR but can't be sure with the possibility of mixes. I have never had an EE so don't even know if my little one resembles an EE chick.
