What’s In A Name?

I read men are from mars and women from venus back in the 80's which still made no sense. I just follow my dads advice and say yes and agree then go about your business. Now im teaching my wife how to use hand power tools for her craft projects so im less involved in making useless yard art. So now i teach and consult on how she can do it. She has even learned where tools are returned to and cleans up the sawdust and paint trash. Of course now i have to build a third mobile workbench to fit her size cuz both of us end up with sore backs and joints.

I am getting my beehive this week and starting bee keeping with my lovely mum. I can't wait! All I need is cows and pigs
I admire you and kind of jealous at the same time. We did entertain the thought of getting bees not long after starting with chickens going as far as buying several books to “really learn.” However, it didn’t take me long to realize, in my latter years, I didn’t want to spend a good portion of my time tending bees. I wanted to spend it with my grandchildren and my chickens. If I was younger, I would definitely get started. And yep, you need cows and pigs. :thumbsup

Mine is just a bit of a play on words, I'm in France so chickens are 'les poules' and I'm a girl / chick and chickens and chicks! So is it chicken girl or chicken chicken who knows :lau:lau

Great thread!
I take it as “Chicken Girl,” which is great!

I am a male named Mark and when I was in school the female friends I had called me ducky because I wore rubber duck pajama bottoms under my torn up jeans. I had a few pair so I was never without my duckys.
Why do I love this? :clap It’s perfect! :gig

I kept bees for a few years. I lost my hive to a bear and never started it back. In the next year or two I'll be buying and building everything to start back into it. I'm not getting cows and pigs. I'm getting sheep instead. Wool meat and milk with a respect for fences unlike goats.

I also spin wool, knit and crochet and sew. I cook too.
