You know, I am too. I’ve been curious about everyone’s names for a while now, and I’m thankful I went ahead and started it. I have been away from my phone for 6 or 7 hours now so I’ve got a lot of catching up to do. This thread has made me feel even more a part of the BYC community because I feel like I’m getting to know everyone, simply by finding out how their name came about. I’m thrilled.

My name is pretty self explanatory, but there is some backstory. I do have Cayugas. I have a 9 yr old son that is my miracle child. I was told at 16 I would never be able to have children. And then in 2009, after 2 months of having what I thought was a reoccurring flu the ER told me I was pregnant. Skip forward 8 years, I was really feeling the need for another child. Knowing I couldn't have anymore I decided to get some ducks and chickens.
So Cayuga Momma seemed to fit.

learned western rode that for many years... Wanted to learn to jump then changed to dressage because I was tired of my horse jumping out from under neath me... Then learned to drive... and I was hooked. Litterally....VBG

Seventeen hands is a good size horse, but I guess it would be on the small side for a draft. My son’s roping horse is 16 2 and plenty tall for me. He’s our tallest. Those big giants are kind of scary, but I’ll bet they’re really big babies, kind of like Great Danes, so to speak.

Puffles is the name of my newborn alpaca we just had on my farm. She’s growing up really fast!

I have a first name that is hard for most people to pronounce, especially with a Kentucky accent. So when my sister got pregnant she decided, being the bossy big sister she is, that the kids would call me Kiki. That was 10 years ago, and Kiki just stuck. Leigh is my middle name, and 02 is from my e-mail.
