Me too - I’m too slow to catch a cold most of the time![]()
Oh mercy, Laurie, I am sorry to hear about your son’s health, but I’m thankful he’s doing better. I will keep him in my prayers. Worrying about our children takes a lot out of us and unfortunately I share that with you.View attachment 1572534
Our grandson Charlie. He'll be 9 months in November. Very fortunate that he lives with us. Our daughter is a single mom so we moved her back home to help her out and let her get a fresh start. So I'm a stay at home grandma for the time being. I watch Charlie when our daughter works and on my 'off' days I'm in the next town over checking on our 24 year old son. He went into cardiac arrest June of this year and has had a long road of recovery so I like to make sure he's doing ok
Wasn’t it Pork Pie Ken? That seems to be what I remember, but I’m getting older now and don’t remember like I used to so I could be wrong. Now those I can still catch, quite easily
I remember the "olden days" when you had a different name...something Ken?
I have been through similar with a grandchild, my only granddaughter, Mallorie. The waiting, the constant changes, did I say the waiting? It’s all such an enormous, emotional rollercoaster. One week feels more like one month. Time stands still. She is now my little, heavenly angel.Congratulations!! I just love being a grandma so much!
Dr's can't explain why he went into cardiac arrest, it's so frustrating. They put him into a hypothermic coma and then slowly warmed his body back up and we had to wait.... wait to see if he woke up.... wait to see if he didn't. But I'm very pleased to say he's doing great! He spent a month in grand rapids at Mary free bed, they specialize in head/ brain injuries and have a great recovery and rehab program. He had to learn to walk again, talk again.... he moves a little slower than he used to and his peripheral vision isn't great but he's doing wonderful!

::SNORT::Your name always reminds me of my friends bowling team. A guy, his wife and another guy.
Their team was called 4 balls and a split.
Golly bum, I just noticed you have changed your name too. Ohhhh noooo, just as I’m getting to know everyone, they’re morphing into new peeps. What’s a girl to do?Ohhhh yeah.![]()
