Except this bird has a wrong leg color. And the other birds in the same pictures are easter eggers. There is such a breed as an Silkied Ameraucana ... They are rare, having a mutated gene. You got lucky. There was an article when the first was discovered and the owner posted the oddity on the forum, asking. There's several trying to continue the breeding program but it's quite complex. Do a search in the forum for Silkied Ameraucana or even on the internet. Also known as SiAM, they are not a cross between Silkie/Ameraucana but a true breed, mutated gene.
Edited: Check out member EdenCamp - She knows, started with the original stock.
Could you take a picture of it's comb?
Actually none of our chickens are Easter Eggers. And we know the person that we bought the chicks from and they don’t have Silkies. Her picture doesn’t do her legs correct color justice. She has a blueish/greenish tint on her legs.Except this bird has a wrong leg color. And the other birds in the same pictures are easter eggers.
Good catch, I stand corrected.Except this bird has a wrong leg color. And the other birds in the same pictures are easter eggers.
