What am I seeing in the chicken pasture??

Do they climb walls like racoons?

Mink and weasels are more terrestrial

Whatever it is, it wants chicken, I’d look into some ways to get rid of it

It probably is a predator, but seems to be nocturnal. As long as your flock is safely locked up at night, all should be well.

The good news is nobody’s batting an eye in the coop…all quite. I’m so greatful to God we have the RING cameras. I can’t say enough good things about them!

I think it's a marten, looks like a brown body and long black tail.

Pine marten is mostly in the high peaks of the Adirondack mts, so I'm going with young fisher cat. Seen lots of them in my area.

Update: haven’t seen him again since that one sighting. Now we’re just back to Mr Bun (the rabbit), Mr. Peanut (the skunk), and assorted rats (ick*), all doing their part to clean up the pasture…
