What Am I?

    This little chicky has hatched and is now an honorary silkie as its hatchmates are all silkie bantams.

    Possibly a Delaware, however, there are lots of different breeds that look a bit like that at hatch. No feathered feet, right? Good pictures!

    I have a Columbian Rock that looked just like that as a chick.

    Its come from a set of ebay eggs listed as white & black maran, light sussex and light sussex x rir, but the head spot has really thrown me since none of these look quite like this little chick. I am inclined to think light sussex but I really don't know

    Sussex have very white legs. Your chicks legs look yellow. Could be a sussex x rir.

    your chick looks just like the day old delewares i brought home a few months ago. ( :

    if he/she is you're in luck, our dellies are the sweetest hens we've got. they totally personify the "lap chicken" namesake.
