so we hatched some bantams, .. in the coop were black cochin, black tailed japanese buffs, and silkies,, we ended up with this guy... any ideas..

A silkie cochin cross is my guess. He's got the beard (Silkie) and more of a cochin shape.

It's a SilkiexJapanese buff cross. If I were to guess, I'd say the silkie didn't have standard colored skin.

That low wing set is definitely Japanese.
