Ever more reassuring. I have and regularly use Facebook and nobody remembered.
I used to post on other people's timelines but I don't bother any more lol. Good on you for remembering your friends' birthdays though. It's not everything in a friendship but it's certainly a nice touch.

My annoying thing of the day: parents incessantly harping on at you to get a job, as if full time study were a form of slacking off.

The most annoying thing is when my mom is petting my dog and she looks at me and goes (in 'Jazzy's voice') "Mommaaa, she has a mat..." I brush her twice a day every day and I know if she has a mat and any small mats that are there are new because I spend more time on her hair than on my own body including showering, hair brushing, makeup, clothing, etc. Heck I spend more money on her (grooming sprays, shampoo, jackets, bows...) than I do on myself. I'd rather her notice how nice she looks and not "oh she has like a rice grain sized mat on her left side".
