What are everyone's chickens names and why?

My kids named the chicks. We have 2 EEs, Eggo and Yoga, a red sex-linked Chick, who now goes by Boss Chick, and a new golden comet I named Shiner Bok. The kids call her Mrs. Bok. We had a barred plymouth chick that died...Darth Feather.

We have Teriyaki (and she has a little brown on her wings so the name fits), Baked, Fried, Nugget (the smallest one), and Strips. Our boy is Crispy. My husband named them as a joke and so far so good with the names. My oldest daughter thinks that when we get more, we should keep the theme. Like Parmesean, Broiled, Deep Fry.

Rooster 1 is Buddy because he is super sweet, 3 other roosters are Cocky, Doodle and Doo. I know that is so stupid but everybody gets tickled. White leghorn hen is Priscilla, Prissy for short because she is beautiful. We have Rosita, Jose, Elmo, Bertice, Ernice etc.... I have a 2 year old. She named her pygmy goat Taco.

I love reading everyones post. We almost named ours Churches, KFC, etc, but the kids didn't think that was very funny. My 7 year old named the two he picked out. The yellow one is Sunshine and the dark black one is Midnight. Our 10 year old named hers Peanut and Butter, both are brown. My husband named the redish brown one Mahogany and I named the yellow one with brown stripes Muddy Waters. We don't know what breed they are because we got them from a friend who has 4 different breeds. We don't know if any are roos either, but I hope not because we are not keeping them.

I've stuck with a theme. My first 3 are Oprah, Martha and Ellen. The second batch is Lucille (Ball), Rita (Heyworth) and Annie (little Orphan) (famous red heads). My Ameraucanas are Nefertiti and Cleo because when they were chicks they looked like they were wearing eyeliner. Oprah ended up being a roo so I changed his name to Dr. Phil.

We don't even have them yet, but are naming them all after the kid's grandmothers and great-grandmothers (it will be obvious by the names!)

We are getting all Bantam females: 1 EE, 3 Cochins (barred, black, mottled) and 3 Brahmas (buff, light, dark)

I have Salmon Faverolles, a French breed, so I'm giving them all French names. I'm still in the process of naming them all... I like to name them based on their personalities, and on what seems to fit.

Thus far we have Adelle, Jean-Jacques, Marcel and Yves.

Adelle is apparently our only pullet; she's a real beauty, and her name means noble birth. Her feathers are especially long, and I notice that she tends to hover near anyone who complains with peeps, trying to comfort him.

Marcel is the runt and had a rough time of it at first, but he's a fighter. His name is in reference to the god of war. However, Marcel is a real snuggle bunny now, probably because of all the extra attention he received early on. Smaller than the other cocks, he also seems to be pretty fearless and self-reliant... a little Napoleon.

Jean-Jacques is a romantic. Whether I intend to pick him up or not, if my hand goes into the brooder and Jean-Jacques is ready for some attention he jumps into my hand and waits to be lifted to my shoulder, where he can cuddle in my hair and philosophize about all the goings on in the brooder below from a height and a distance. He is also the first (and as yet only) little bird to use the training roost. If I don't pick him up fast enough, he tries to climb my arm, sometimes pecking at my freckles along the way. Once on my shoulder he settles nicely for a half hour or more while I read or even stroke or hold the other chicks.

Yves is the most handsome and masculine of the bunch. His down is exquisitely shiny, and he spends an inordinate amount of time preening. He walks as tall as he is able, with his head held high--a fashion plate. He has also been the first to attempt crowing, stretching his neck to its fullest extent, flapping his little wings, and singing "Yap!" He'll get better at it.
