What are some of your favorite names for chickens?

I've got 4 SLW pullets I need to name. I like old fashioned names, but I also want to match names based on personality or appearance. I've got a few ideas so far.

• Hattie which means "ruler of the home" for the top pullet.
• Darcy which means "dark" for my darkest pullet.
• Fancy for the fanciest looking one, though we'll see if the name fits her adult coloring.

I'm at a loss for naming my fourth pullet chick. She is the only one with a single comb so I thought maybe naming her something that means "different" or "unique", but nothing I've searched for yet fits. I'm just calling her Mabel for now.

My girls named two of ours today.
10yo "popcorn"
2yo "Bird"

Lol. Works for me. If they make it to a laying age I will worry about it. I used to name them right away and then get upset when they didn't make it.

How about Audi (Audi Quattro)? If you don't like that, Audrey? Audrey Hepburn was pretty special.

I like Audrey Hepburn, but the name feels a little too... I don't know, sophisticated? for a chicken. After doing some more searches I've found the name Elcie. Supposedly it means "unique", plus it's short and melds well with the other names. I like it.

We have Doris, Gracie, James, and Turtle. My youngest (3) wanted to name her after himself so that's where James comes from and my oldest (5) wanted to name one turtle for some reason.
