I have some that I believe are OEGB and they are super easy to handle, the kids love them. They have not shown signs of broodiness but I have read they are prone to it. Thought it good to mention they are just 1year olds.
Looks like we are getting some more...anyone else have another bantam breed they love (broody or not)
or any you suggest we stay away from for kids pets.
D'uccle for the win!

I absolutely love my Roo Boy! He knows his name, he talks to me, sits with me, runs to me, sleeps with me sometimes.
He's so social and full of spunk!
Nicest rooster in the world! (IMO)
My Mille Fleur is shaping up to be a great bird too. ^_^
I don't know how broody they are. My Silkie is insanely broody, so is my Silkie x OEGB.

Edit: I thought it said birds who do go broody, not don't.
As far as bantams go, I dunno. My Sultan, OEGB, Seabright.....I've never seen them get broody. The only one who's kinda nice outta those three is the OEGB.
We have had seramas, d'uccles, silkies, OEGB, bantam cochins, and modern game bantams. Our #1 and #2 choices for people friendly, easy to handle and non broody are Modern Game Bantams #1, and OEGB #2....hands down moderns game bantams have been the easiest to tame down, easiest to handle, the roosters get along with each other, and the babies hatch very easily, at least for me....
