They're going to help keep the mosquito population down

They make awesome sounds

My husband is allergic to all things "animal" but we have 2 daughters who desperately wanted a pet. After a few rounds of turtles (very dull), parakeets (very loud) and some frogs (very boring) we decided on chickens after I saw a picture of an adorable coop in the paper with a picture of a white silkie. That did it. We now have our own adorable coop and 6 silkies. Voila! Instant joy!
