The flower looks exactly like the coreopsis but now noticing the leaves look a little different. The leaves on the flower I'm looking at are narrow but are still leaves I keep looking up Virginia wildflowers and nothing matches quite as well as the coreopsis

Since different types of flowers bloom at different times of the years, You could always plant a whole section of happy yellow flowers and call it the sunshine spot in honor of your friend.

I think you did find it. Those leaves look exactly the same along with the flowers. And all the ones I've been seeing are about 3 foot tall sometimes four. There's tons and tons of huge clusters of them everywhere . I love it. You guys are awesome

Sunshine spot is actually a perfect name. Because her name was Dawn. I was thinking about also putting them in my vegetable garden which she love to pick at when she was at my house. The memorial garden I work on with her mother on it at her house which is only a couple miles
