What are these flowers

I think you did find it. Those leaves look exactly the same along with the flowers. And all the ones I've been seeing are about 3 foot tall sometimes four. There's tons and tons of huge clusters of them everywhere . I love it. You guys are awesome

There are many, many cultivars of coreopsis. An other name for Coreopsis is Tick Seed. It CAN be invasive, spreading readily both underground and from seed. I never allowed it in my gardens BC (before chickens) b/c of it's invasive nature. Now, with the chickens, I'm sure they would eradicate it if needed. I planted some seed in my orchard last summer, and had 2 plants survive the winter. I bought some much more ornamental ones this summer, and they have bloomed all summer long. Absolutely gorgeous plants. I am hoping they survive the winter, and can even be divided in the future.

Thanks for the info. Think I'm going to do some research before planting. There are no chickens to protect the memorial garden and have chickens but I'm always scared to let them in my veggie garden. I'm sure after some research we'll find a perfect place for them. Her memorial garden is sitting on a 10 acre plot so we can find it a good spot

I'm in Ohio and have many of the same wildflowers..this maybe the variety of coreopsis known around here as prairie dock. There are many varieties of this plant. They grow wild everywhere around here. I think they're beautiful too and love the idea of planting them in memorial garden as a rememberance of her
