what are y'all saving from the wild to deal with coming crisis?

Climate is never not changing. Weather was much worst in the past.

Climate is always changing.
It is the reason we have maps from the 16th century, that the artists admits he reproduced from ancient renderings, of the north and south poles ice free, why we have had the great and little ice ages, solar maximums that typically make our summers hotter and winters milder and Solar Minimum that typically grant us cooler summers and harsher winters. These were understood conditions fifty years ago. Now everything is a catastrophe with the chicken littles, while they fail to know, or chose to disregard that for the past 50 years, no less than 8 nations have been utilizing various weather manipulation techniques.
The fact that it is ever changing is what should immediately notify people that the hoopla offered up by global governments and marketed by fools is to be looked upon with the most suspicious eye.

The world has been warming since the beginning of the industrial revolution (but not as you say at a great rate) because that's when the Little Ice Age ended, which probably was a great contributing factor to the industrial revolution.

So glad someone knows some history. haha. You are indeed correct, but within the past three months the IPCC has publicly acknowledge that there has been ZERO consistent ( year over year ) rise in average global temperatures since 1992. At which time we were coming out of an unusual Solar Maximum.

It may indeed be off topic, but this thread topic ultimately leads to such discussions and I like you Tropie, but I don't know where you get your info from. There has not been a national candidate in over 50 years who has turned down, failed to have been offered or refused corporate/organization campaign donations. All you have to do is go take a look at the publicly available prior campaign finance reports.

Too much :sick

I got sterile comfrey, because I didn’t want uncontrollable proliferation all over our little slice of Heaven. Root cuttings grow like weeds.

I bought comfrey because of its purported soil improvement properties, both from composting the leaves and, in theory, from its long taproots bringing up nutrients from deep down. Since then, I’ve read that the “dynamic accumulator” (deep taproot stuff) is still theoretical and the studies have shown mixed results.

I am wary of consuming it due to the pyrrolizidine alkaloids it contains that can cause liver damage. But in small amounts, I’m willing to chance it with the chickens. Many chickens have eaten comfrey regularly and seemed just fine. For me, I’m pretty cautious.

It’s also supposed to grow big and have beautiful flowers!

I will be honest. I would LOVE to see the ill educated, failed business attempting bartender from New York not only run but gain the nomination.

She's not old enough. She will turn 35 just in time for 2024 but she may not even get reelected in 2020. Bezos will funnel millions to her primary challenger. She has attacked him more than once.

Wildfire is a big one for us. We have one of the worst population to escape route ratios in California. Best laid plans will go up in literal smoke. We have 3 years of pine needles getting cleaned out next week, thank goodness. After that, looking into sprinkler systems (only if we can hook them up so they're not competing with firefighter hoses, kind of useless otherwise).

A lot of houses get lost in wildfires due to internal combustion. Blowing embers find their way into the attic (e.g. soffit vents) and radiant heat ignites interior furnishings through windows. So doing things to prevent that can be really helpful.
