It’s very unfortunate that this very interesting and useful thread has devolved into denigrating political candidates and unsupported negative suppositions about climate change.

IMO it was unfortunate that someone brought up climate change. Let's worry about real problems that we can do something about, like prepare for hard times, rather than obsessing about getting rid of fossil fuels that are responsible for giving us a quality and ease of life that no other people in history ever had.

I bought root stock because I read about it being invasive, but it's all gone now except for one plant. Now I wish I had just planted from seed.

Plants grown from seed take 4 years to reach the size that a plant grown from a root cutting reaches in one year.

I do, some. Since heirloom seeds are getting more expensive and harder to come by with Monsanto buying all the major seed companies. I learned from a book I bought through, I believe, Patriots supply. Although it may have been another prepper sight. Anyway, anywhere you find heirloom seed storage, usually 3 year and an Acre or more, should have it and it is really fairly simple.

I save mine and put them in little plastic bags and store them in the fridge. Sometimes I'll put all of the little bags in a plastic container with some silica gel to keep things dry.
