Sounds like my back yard here in Texas. I have already lived through two 5 year ones.I remember reading about a drought that lasted seven years.

I guess it’s retirement induced, but my eyes glaze over when I try to read government pamphlets.
That’s where the money is.I got my 17 yo grandson into a welding program partially paid by the state. Stuff will need to be fixed and other metal things created. Don't forget the trades.
I know some rednecks south of I-10 Kiki I will now phone a friend who qualifies @RUNuts most likely.Someone who lives north of Interstate 10.
What? That's what my grandma told me.

Only thing you need to save you from an EM pulse is a Farraday cage, easiest way to protect your devices from it. You already have one in your home and that is called a microwave or EM pulse safe. Now I need to build a Jeep sized one one to keep my Wrangler safe from that! I hope it runs well on methanol cause I know how to make a still, but for other reasons. So I looked up EM pulses and yes it sounds a bit dire, but I have enough trust in our government both state and federal that they have some kind of emergency plans in place. So I’ll continue with my original practice of trying to keep a year’s supply of provisions on hand. Learning about available food stuffs in different regions is interesting
So I should keep my laptop in the microwave? Understand it would possibly disable automobiles since they have computers in them. Need to get a bigger microwave for that! The novel I referenced earlier “one second after” was written when the author was urged by Newt Gingrich to write it. Not a fan of Newt but he is very concerned that the government is not prepared at all. Good read.So I looked up EM pulses and yes it sounds a bit dire, but I have enough trust in our government both state and federal that they have some kind of emergency plans in place.
