I can already tell you the govment ain't prepared some of my neighbors in this county are still waiting on FEMA after last weeks floods.

Only thing you need to save you from an EM pulse is a Farraday cage, easiest way to protect your devices from it. You already have one in your home and that is called a microwave or EM pulse safe. Now I need to build a Jeep sized one one to keep my Wrangler safe from that! I hope it runs well on methanol cause I know how to make a still, but for other reasons.

I have a little car and a lot of excess cardboard I guess I could pick up some really
big trash cans.

I got my 17 yo grandson into a welding program partially paid by the state. Stuff will need to be fixed and other metal things created. Don't forget the trades.

Skilled trades are what's on the rise since most of the millenial males are scared to get their hands dirty. And alot have zero experience with basic hand tools and get mad when you try to reach them correct ways of using tools. I know I have to train them. They cannot handle constructive criticism but I guess that's from the everyone's a winner mentality with everyone getting a trophy.
3 people I know with college degrees are not doing anything even remotely connected to what they went for while I know a high school drop out who got his ged and is pulling in high 60's a year. College does not guarantee anything now. Maybe back in the day but if you believe you have to have a college education to be anybody you're living in lala land
