What are you baking now?

Getting ready to make some Halloween shaped sugar cookies (Pumpkins & Bats) with homemade butter frosting in purple and orange. I will post pics when the kids are done decorating them :)

Recipe, please?

I spent the day making treats for my daughter's Kindergarten class Halloween party tomorrow.
These are the haunted graveyard cupcakes:

My favorite part of this cupcake array is the display I came up with; I lined a box with HUGE autumn leaves (and secured them in place with double-sided tape).

And these are the Rice Krispies treats Candy Corn treats:

Here is the recipe for the banana bread, so wish I had the name of the OP to give her credit for this delicious bread!!

Moist Banana Bread
Makes two loaves

2 ½ cups of flour
1 ¼ cup white sugar
2 pkgs. 3.4 oz. instant vanilla pudding
1 ¼ tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
5 eggs
2 cups mashed ripe bananas (4-5 medium-sized bananas) -
1 cup canola oil
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

1. Combine first six ingredients in a large bowl.2. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, bananas, oil and vanillas.3. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just moistened.4. Add nuts, if desired.5. Transfer mixture to two greased 8”x4” loaf pans.6. Bake at 350 for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.7. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire rack.

Too bad I never got invited to DH's pot luck, or maybe its a good thing, I would of eaten them all.

adozengirls, wow! You are a creative artist!
My son would take things like that home and want "to keep them forever."
He was about ten when I talked him out of his kindergarten food art. Everything was in a bag on a shelf covered in dust.

(but no mold. Scary isn't it?)

I think I am going to make the rice krispie pumpkins for him. Maybe he is over his "can't eat art' stage.
I would spend days on his birthday cakes for him to refuse for us to eat them.

It has turned me into a bore. The less fun I have the more likely he will eat it.

I am copying all of your fabulous recipes. By the time they come out with the second BYC cookbook, I could print out my own.
