Beautiful bread! Not getting why you'd need to list it on a new thread though? What I love about this thread is that it covers all baked goods and I don't have to go hunting all over BYC for great ideas. I have to do that already for most things and it gets a little tiresome. The gals that collect recipes for us probably get a little frustrated with the search as well. Not trying to be contrary, just my opinion.

I haven't tried making artisan breads yet but I plan to try it at some point in the near future (health problems are limiting me right now but that's temporary) and the pics and recipes here are a joy to see. They encourage the rest of us to try new things.

What is blueberry mochi? I adore blueberries!

The Artisan bread recipe is here if you want it:
http://sundayhotpants.nocturne.net.nz/post/1007756098/no-knead-beer-bread

It burned with the directions as given. Have a couple notes on things I changed in this thread:

I see your point, and I like this thread too. I always check it and find lots of great things shared here.....and I post to it. But I also like threads like the Gump Bread one, or the 40 Min Rolls, etc. They generate plenty of discussion and shared ideas of their own. It's nice not having those mixed in with the cakes, pies, brownies, etc, etc. If the thread for artisan & no knead breads doesn't generate enough interest, that's ok with me.

Thanks for the recipe! If you do start a bread thread (

Coffee toffee bars sure look good cmb19!

This is a quick and fun recipe for cheese and sausage balls, your company will eat them faster than you can get them out of the oven!

Cheese and sausage balls

2 1/4 cup bisquick
2/3 cup milk
1 cup of shredded sharp cheddar
1 roll of Jimmy Dean sausage

Combine your bisquick and milk til all blended in, then just add your cheese and sausage and mix it all up. Roll into balls, about tsp. size and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 450 for 8-10 minutes, or til golden brown. Serve right out of the oven! This is usually a big hit during football season and the holidays, great way to get the appetite going.

Or..........

Garlic bisquits

2 cup bisquick
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar
Mix the milk and bisquick together, then add the cheese.

Melt
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 tsp garlic powder

Bake at 450 for 8-10 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet. Brush on the butter/garlic mixture with a pastry brush as soon as you take them out of the oven.................
taste just like the rolls they serve at Red Lobster!

Yes, if I don't give them to someone I'm going to eat them all..and I reallllly don't wanna do that.

Well, a lot going on lately and not much time to "chicken chat" but wanted to check in and see how everyone is going - busy as ever I see. I made three loaves of bread last weekend and doctored a simple whole wheat recipe and added oats, flax and sesame seeds to the dough. Was really lite and fluffy with a nice mild nutty flavor. Want to do some of my Dutch oven bread this weekend. Have had thoughts about making cream puffs or eclairs lately - may be that will be a go - but then my hips will hate me since I'm the only one around to eat them - Dang what a shame!!

Happy baking everyone
