What are you baking now?

I just found this thread. I love to bake, this is awesome. I've seen some recipes I really want to try! Thanks for sharing everyone!!

We are getting into baking season and it is time for me to buy more yeast. King Arthur Flour has several kinds. One is SAF Red and the other is SAF Gold. The Gold is supposed to be better for Sweet dough.

Is it really worth having two types of Yeast?

I only have 1 kind of yeast.


I made Frosted Sugar cookies Friday, Chocolate chip cookies yesterday, and more chocolate chip cookies today.

I have the instant yeast from KAF. I have made bread, cinnamon rolls, etc. I like it....

I ordered the SAF Gold. The reviews said it works better for breads with grains, eggs and sweet breads. That and sour dough is what I use yeast the most for. Last year I started making yeast raised pancakes too--those are amazing! One person said SAF Gold is good for it too. I will use it for all my baking and see what happens.
