My wife's Italian Cream Cheese birthday cake. I've made (I think) two cakes in my life; this is not one of them. It's going to be crazy good. Just had some technical difficulties. We LOL'ed till our sides hurt over this.

It's a plain white loaf that starts with mashed potatoes and is downright delicious!

From the King Arthur Flour online recipes



5 eggs

1 cup sugar

1 T salt

3/4 cup lard (I used Crisco shortening)

2 cups mashed potatoes (instant is okay)

1 pint warm water (105-115 degrees)

2 packages yeast

8 cups bread flour



"Soak yeast in warm water, then mix everything together and mix well. Let rise till twice in size. Shape rolls, put in pans and let rise. Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes, or until brown."



This made three 9x5 loaves and 15 rolls. What was I thinking? Plan on an extra half hour a day on the bike this week. Mmmmmm...so good!

I MUST make this! My only issue is, my gals aren't laying too well due to a flock-wide molt. Guess I'll have to save up!

Putting pound cake in the oven now....I made this once before and it is soooo good just plain. I might add some chocolate chips this time though.

Making a blueberry dump cake,
its quick, easy and enough to make everyone happy,

Butter bottom and side of pan.
add 4 cups of frozen blueberries
1/2 cup sugar
mix together in bottom of pan
sprinkle top with
1 box of yellow cake mix
top with bits of butter over cake mix useing about 1 1/2 sticks
bake 350 for 45min to hr.
