wow... You have a beautiful set up there or pantry. I love that knotty pine. I have a stepdaughter that lives in Alamagordo. I was there once, it sure is different than Ohio. Pretty in it's own world.

I agree. You're doing great as a first year canner. Doesn't it feel wonderful to have all those lovely jars full of yummy stuff on the shelves?

And I must agree with Marymac too. The knotty pine is beautiful.

Same here! Usually I can't keep up with them. I was excited to see a few of them blushing the other day but at closer inspection they had black rot spots on them

and I tossed them to the critters. It is just way too wet this year.

Plus I have a HUGE freezer of stuff and 2 regular freezers full. PLEASE DONT LET US LOSE POWER THIS YEAR! Canning pints of salsa right now...

I'm going nuts! I want to whip up some of my kids favorite jelly and I can't find the recipe. I went to the library and to the book store and they are out of the book. It is from the Ball Home Preservation book. It's the Easy Apple Juice Jelly recipe which uses bottled apple juice. I use it for a base for my Bubble Gum jelly. Could someone PM, Email or post the recipe...pleeeaaseee!! Thank you.

I just happen to have my Ball Home Preserving book with me at work (looking at Blueberry recipes). All the recipes use apple juice from processed apples not bottled. But I would think that recipe would work the same. Do you want one with Liquid or Powdered pectin?

I'm positive it is in there. Maybe I used a different edition. The one I used had pictures of jars in rows across and down on the front I stumbled on the recipe one day. It is under the the Apple Jelly or jam recipe. I think it was the third or fourth recipe down. I'm pretty sure it was called the Easy Apple Jelly recipe. Powedered pectin. Thanks.
