What are you canning now?

I love my Presto canner too. In fact, I bought a Presto pressure cooker with Christmas money just to stay loyal to that brand. I use the canner a lot more though.

All American is considered the Cadillac of pressure canners, built like a tank and is American made, that is why I purchased it. I believe the Presto can be used on a flat surface stove and it is cheaper. I love my All American and would purchase it again.

Thats what it was looking like to me with the reviews but I just wanted some first hand knowledge from people I could talk too.

Kewl. Let us know how it works for you! I'm looking forward to your review.

Wow, that is high

I usually average 41 cents a jar.

$4 PER JAR?! $48 per dozen?!

How much do artisan/homecanned goods go for at market?

They seem to go in the high 50 to low 60 cents a piece in this area. High enough, if you ask me.

Depends on the market. Most country people around here I know reuse commercial jars because they simply cannot afford to use canning jars. The fancier places that can get away with $10 chutneys and things are in the city and even sometimes they use cutesy (and funnily, cheaper) artisan jars. Those are only $2.

I'll show you:

Edit: LMAO suggested retail $8.

(and good luck getting them used, too - doesn't happen here because they cost, well... that)
