What are you canning now?

peeling is one of the easy parts! Especially when making pasta sauce!
 
Right now I have chicken stock boiling away on the stove. Half will be canned plain and the other half will be used to make Chicken and Kale soup that I will also can. There is nothing like opening a jar of your own home grown, then home canned chicken stock

Added a pic of today's work! Got some dill pickles done as well as the soup and stock- my feet hurt!

peeling is one of the easy parts!

That's what I was thinking! If you're blanching them properly the skins slip right off.​

Sorry I missed those coupons!!! Darn it!


I just finished up 4 1/2 pints of Raspberry jam and 2 1/2 pints of Ginger Cantaloupe Preserves. I have a big pot of tomato sauce simmering on the stove and that should be ready to can tonight sometime after 8pm.

The house smells AWESOME!
