Never fails. As soon as I post a question regarding something I'm having trouble finding info on... that is when I find the info.

Just finished filtering and bottleing a batch of elderberry tincture for the wife.

Apple Pie Moonshine is cooling. Then I just have to add the moonshine, bottle, and wait a month for yummy goodness.

Apple Pie Moonshine
(4) quart jars
(2) 3/4-pint jars (Guessing they are 3/4-pint. They look like half-pint jelly jars but taller and aren't as big as pint jars.)
And some left over, about 4/5 of a 14.5 oz spagetti sauce jar I had. Not sure if I'll be able to wait a month or so before I drink it.

I've been keeping several batches of apple pie moonshine in rotation; we go through it fast! I like to wait at least a few weeks before drinking it, although it's ready right away; it's just a bit "harsh" if you don't let it sit.

Nice to know we're not the only ones keeping this tradition alive!

Has anyone posted a recipe on here for creamy horseradish sauce? My aunt is wanting to can but only does the traditional recipe..this is alot of info here. If someone could be so kind to tell me page or post you recipe so i could share...thanks in advance!

I'm in Louisiana, so I can't help you with your request, but I can tell you what I did when I first started selling my jams. I went to several farmers markets and found a lady who was selling jams. I spoke extensively with her about the requirements and she directed me to a website with all the information. I found out that there are different requirements for selling at farmers markets and selling wholesale/commercially, like to supermarkets.

Does anyone have some great ways to preserve cherry tomatoes? I have 75lbs

I think I am going to make ketchup out of some since I have to process that anyway. Any favorite ketchup recipes?
My mom used any tomato from the garden to make tomato sauce. Core cut, toss in a pot, cook down a bit and process. Kept the tomoto peel in for fiber and ease of processing.

X 2 -- I love my prepared horse radish from the store but it is made with sugar and I would like to take that out.
