Work today.... But tomorrow I am taking my kayak on an overnight float trip on the river. A little fishing, a little paddling, a fine cigar and camping under the stars! I would love to be able to add "a campfire" to that list but steady 100s + no rain = burn ban.

i'd like to fish too. i hv a fishing rod in fact but not used so far. a friend who fishes a lot said i can only do fly fishing around here in my place.
but i don't have time for that now. while having an off farm job, also busy clearing, cleaning and preparing place for pastured farming.
also raising 20+ white leghorn chicks for layers, 6 runner ducklings and 4 guineas for bug control and hatching quails!
it's like camping everyday. we don't hv a burn ban yet, as we're still ranging from high 50s to 70s here. we're burning a lot of old rotten woods everyday. remnants of previous logging activities.
will be building chicken tractor, duck pens and quail hutch this weekend.

unlike fatdaddy who's solving world problems while sipping beer, we have 'trivial' things to worry about after the day's work.

Went fishing again today but before I get into things I asked the guy at the bait store what a FLAT of nightcrawlers was. He said its about 40 dozen all for $50! Thats a great deal! Ok but I got another rock bass to add to the family in the fridge, caught two but one was too small. And then I just got bored and went in the hot tub. Oh and I tried to catch this huge turtle also lol.

When I went fishing to Canyon lake about two days ago I cought 30 bluegill with mealworms we wouldnt kkeep them if they were under 4in they were HUGE. They were still spawning plus we saw some largemouth bass that were spawning too the biggest we saw was about 6 pounds.
