WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? WHAT DID YOU JUST RECEIVE?

I ordered 25 White Rocks from Frey's Hatchery and after I received them I noticed that there was 30 chicks so I got 5 chicks extra from Frey's. All are healthy and alive. Very Excited!

Just ordered from My Pet Chicken, Hatching June 16th

2 Golden Laced Wyandottes pullets
2 Blue Orpington pullets
2 Lt Brahma pullets
1 Lt Brahma cockrel
1 Easter Egger pullet
1 Barred Rock pullet
1 Lt brown leghorn pullet
1 Salmon Farverolle cockrel

I was suppose to get 2 Black Copper Maran pullets, but the gentleman who took the order, didnt add them in time and someone else snatched them up! :( I am suppose to call hatch day and see if there is an over run and I can get them.

Started taking apart a 12x12 shed today, going to rebuild it into a 6x10 coop in another part of the yard.

All 23 or more per some of the respondents. Scared, excited, all in one. I can't wait to get to know my babies and will show pictures as soon as I can.

Unfortunately had to clean up more than half my chicks today with poop butts. About 18 chicks out of 25. Ouch. They all arrived really well and clean from Cackle but this is day 7 and all of sudden they developed bad butts. Their clean now and should be okay, chirping and happy as before.

When mine starting getting pasty butt I stopped putting additives in the water. Just plain old water and after I cleaned them up no more pasty butt! I also heard you can put in Apple cider vinegar? I think that's right. I just used water and that seemed to help. Hopefully you can get them back to normal!

I added ACV to my first batch of TSC chicks (4 out of 6 had Pasty Butt) and it seemed to work wonders. They had no more Pasty after that. Yes I agree, I added Pro-biotic for the first 3 days and I think the over doing it contributed to the Pasty butt. Now they have only ACV in their water after I gave them a whole day yesterday with just plain water to so to say, flush their systems. I hope this works as I go on vacation in 2 weeks and I don't want to come home to dead chicks even though by care taker has taken care of chicks before. Thank you for your advice.

I ordered mine from Back yard chickens I think.. I should have around 10 different breeds
I ordered 2 light bramah, 1 giant black jersey, buckeye, easter egger, and then ordered
potluck of 5 brown egg layers(3 different breeds at least) and 5 rare breed potluch (3 different breeds at least)
Then I picked up 2 buff orphingtons and a rhode island red.

One died so far. :(

NOT SURE WHAT IS WHAT AT THIS POINT IT IS TRICKY.. ANY SUGGESTIONS.
sorry to hear of your lose..what do you need to know..do you have them in a brooder..make sure they are warm and always have food and water ..make sure they have clean litter .
check their bumms for poop that sticks on them ..clean it with a warm wash cloth ,but dont pull it out ...i think its alot like have a cat ..except you you get eggs ...lol

if i dont know something , i search the net and just read till i find the answers..
