Thanks for the vote of confidence!Tuesday! Not that farrrr!! You all will do FINE! No need to stress about it !!! Can't wait to see your flock!
Hahaha! Absolutely!!! I will admit the first two days I felt slightly out numbered. Now 4/5 days in I feel a lot more confident and our routine is set and we are all happy and healthy! lolThanks for the vote of confidence!

Yeah i know what you mean about tractor supply.. lol i asked to look at the silver laced wyandotte straight runs up close to see if i could sex them and they told me no.. i was like why?! so we left the store and looked up a lady on craigslist and got 3 pullets from her instead and she just gota huge shipment in from a hatchery so they were already vaccinated.. (i had already just got my shipment from chickensforbackyards.com) the people at tractor supply dont know anything about the chicks they are selling.. seriously.. they have no clue. After dealing with the mass stupidity of Tractor Supply and the local feed stores, I decided to pony up and place an order with McMurray:
2 blue andalusians
2 americana (EE) males
2 black australorps
1 black minorcas
1 buttercup
2 black cochins
3 cuckoo marans
2 columbian wyandottes
They are also sending a surprise exotic chick (which will probably be a male red sex link, but oh well).
Shipping April 14th. Now comes the hard part. . . .
Right?! the lady was extremely rude to me.. so i just left.. i was pretty angry too with how rude she was... but its whatever.. im not willing to buy straight run chicks.. without looking at them upclose..they couldnt even point me in the right direction for brooder thermometers when i went there.. they kept trying to show me anal horse thermometers! i was like really?!Of course, were I a thinking TS employee (a rare breed indeed), I might be able to conclude that someone educated enough to attempt to sex day-old chicks is probably educated enough to conduct good bio-security measures and not infect their chicks.
With the amount of dead, and about to be dead chicks I see in those tubs, I can't imagine it's a huge concern, anyway.
