WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? WHAT DID YOU JUST RECEIVE?

They all made it safe and sound. Only one had pasty butt this morning and I cleaned it up and now it is back in running around and eating/drinking. Wow what am I going to do with 22 babies! So glad I have a farm and plenty of room for them. Also so glad my 3 dogs could care less about them. They are good farm dogs and leave the livestock alone so I am thinking they will leave the chickens alone too. Only time will tell and since they are not obsessed it is a good start.

I got my chicks in the mail this morning around 10 am. Beware the USPS tracking 2 hours after I got them home, it texted me that they had just arrived in the hub an hour away. I was super stressing all morning! But they are happy and fine.

Chicks are 6 days old now and seem to have doubled in size. I'm enjoying them more now that I am not as worried that I'll find one dead when I go and check on them (6 died the first 36 hours).

I'm still waiting for my chicks! They shipped Monday, and are making their way to me all the way from Ohio... I can't even sit still waiting for them- it's torture!! It isn't common for people to get chicks in the evening right? So should I stop staring at my phone waiting for it to ring until tomorrow morning?

God I know! It is awful! Then for the first two nights I could not sleep. I kept jumping up and checking on them. I'm terrible.

This is Gibi short for Golden Beard. She is Gray and black but has a Golden Mask and Beard. Very cute!
