What are your favorite treats

I have four fussy bantams who are much loved. In the morning they get a tray of finely shredded kale, diced cucumber, thinly sliced baby plum tomatoes topped with petit pois and sweet corn. Alongside, they have a small sponge cake crumbled up. At night I give them some mixed dry corn with dried meal worms. Now we have soft fruit in season, I give them strawberries and cherries.I have to finely slice everything or they won't eat it! They also love dandelion leaves and any seed grass. Hope that gives you some ideas. (They also get chicken pellets and mash to eat).

Mine love melons, squash, Swiss chard, tomatoes, fruit and most everything.
I don't give those often but they do enjoy them.

I give a little scratch and wet feed every morning. It helps keep them quiet so my neighbors can sleep. ;)

Today they will get some zucchini when I pick them. I am getting overrun with it. :p

Mine love the mixed seeds. It’s funny but here they sell the bags of pellets but the rural French mostly feed them the mixed seeds (which I think others refer to as ‘scratch’) - The hens also get leftovers and often free range.
In the hot weather I also give then cold grapes and melon seeds with the connective fruit tissue to help cool them down.
A little cold mince meat is also popular plus it helps to absorb the powdered shell enhancer. And they adore a chopped hard boiled egg!

I try different things all the time. They free range at will (run open most of the day) also. By far their favorites are watermelon (they eat rind and all but skin), tomatoes (though only if I half them and they get to chase each other and fight over them), CHEESE!, and I swear they have mor fun with broccoli than nearly anything. I chop a whole head in quarters and toss it in. Once the tops are gone the eat the inside of the stalk. And corn on the cob. Days they get treats, about 3x a week, the skins, cobs or leftover stalks get chucked in with compost. The other days they get scratch or just cracked corn...about a cup between the 8 of them. I also use the scratch to get them into the coop or run if necessary. They have at-will cumble all day too. I give them whole wheat bread or sometimes buns or a muffin once a week or week and a half just cuz they love it so. Just a slice or 2 between them. :p
So really they get one "fresh" treat a day.

Shredded cheese, zukes, strawberries, raspberries, corn, watermelon, cantaloupe, lettuce, scrambles eggs, mealworms......I did cut back on the treats as one of my hens was laying soft shelled eggs and then got egg bound. So now I try and stick mostly to their Purina feed and may give them a treat when I get home from work.

what do you treat your girls with?
In the summer we give them watermelon that we store in the fridge. They also get what I call corn pops. It’s creamed corn in a muffin tin mixed with water and then frozen. All year round they get dried meal worms. I consider those the bacon of the chicken world . In the winter we give scratch (it also fattens them up. That’s why we only give it to them in the winter) Whenever we have rotten fruit it goes to them. They love it. Every day they get a type of oatmeal thing. Just a mix of healthy for chickens stuff. Oatmeal, plain yogurt, parsley, apple cider vinegar, and any egg shells we might have left over. We never give them meat or bread.
