What bantams lay best.

Considering their size, which bantams lay the best and the largest eggs?

My Barred Rock Bantams are frequent layers. Flock average is probably 5 eggs per week per hen give or take..

Never had one. I have mixed LF (that I'm about to sell off) and bantam breeds (rocks, leghorn). My rocks are some of the best layers - both in frequency and egg size. That being said, my leghorns (who lay a very small egg - infrequently) are hatchery stock whereas my rocks come from better lines so that may be a factor. Also, I have a polish/rock bantam mix that lays a very large egg for a bantam - close to some of my LF eggs. If I were only after eggs, I may consider them. Rocks are good layers, but just as important to me - are docile and have a calm demeanor.
