I had no idea that my quail Belgian bearded d'anvers could have been definitively feather sexed by three weeks of age. I know salmon faverolles are also mostly sexable by about 3 weeks, too.

Besides autosexing breeds, what colors produce "dead giveaways" by 3 weeks of feather development? Also, am I correct in assuming that a lavender quail d'anvers would also be sexable by 3 weeks?

I'm going to try hatching eggs and if my yield ends up the average I should have at least 7 babies to raise in a cornucopia of color varieties.
