I think you're right @Gray Farms, I couldn't quite put my finger on that pattern but I wasn't considering BSL. I would guess closer to 9-10 weeks, male feathering usually starts coming in between 12-15 so I think you should know for sure in the next few weeks.
Thank you! I wouldn't have guessed that either. I was looking up BSL and it referenced that dilution of pigment on the legs could be possible. Both of the barred chicks pictured have a bluish/Black tint splotched just on the front of their legs. Thoughts?First two look more like Black Sexlink cockerels to me. Does it have anything to do with sex determination or is it just something that is breed specific?Its common in most barred birds. Rocks will usually loose it later in life.
