What breed and gender is my chicken?

They are a whiteish color. Can marans have feathered feet? Mine has a small amount of feathers on its feet.

Some strains of Marans do, some don't. Maybe a blue Marans?

The French standard calls for feathered legs "down the shank and outer toe only".

Those are the two options I came up with as well.

Those shanks are way too dark for a marans.
Not sure of any breed with that dark of shanks and feathered shanks.

True True. And considering how lightly feathered its legs are I'm starting to lean more towards crossbred myself.

Ya. I know marans are usually lightly feathered shanks but I thought this bird was really light.
One dose would explain that.
Hard to say anything for sure without knowing any options.
