She doesn’t have a crestThere are many ways to get an EE. One of them is through a legbar, a straight combed breed, which is also consistent with the crest

I’ve seen a lot of BSLs with that amount of gold. Cross breeds/hybrids aren’t going to all look the same. You're right, it just looked like it had a crest. I still think this is not a BSL though, there's just too much gold on the body for me to feel comfortable. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's just how I see it

Black sex link don't always breed true but that is pretty far off from the norm. Seen a lot of EE that color. May just have to wait another 4-5 months and see what color egg you get
Sometimes New Hampshire reds are used too. Though, of course, any gold breed could be used and they would still be sex links. Hatcheries just usually use the same two breeds each time.https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/are-these-black-sex-links.1578232/
Posted it earlier in the thread, but it's looking like BSLs are going the way of EEs that a little of everything goes! Maybe the parent stock aren't 100% RIR/Barred Rocks... but I'll guess that these new hybrids are still great layers of brown eggs!
