What breed are these chicks?

I raise giant chickens so all of mine grow fast. My 6 month old Buff roo is now reaching 29 inches and still have a year and a half to grow. I am vey proud of him. Love my brahma roos. I don't eat chicken or any meat except some fish because of health but I do love raising them

I love brahmas too I have one brahma roo in my flock and have some brahma eggs in an incubator they're due to hatch in a fortnight :) here's mine with my jack russel

I have a couple Brahmas also that were hatched a week after the meat bird. They are very tall, but only about 6-7 lbs.

Broiler chicks are required to put weight on fast, ready for slaughtering at around fourteen weeks of age. Their feed is high in protein to enable the chick to develop and put weight on rapidly. Some grow to fast and have joint issues

So should i limit their feed slightly so that they don't grow too fast would that help them in the long term? Do you know how well these types of meat birds lay also?

Thanks so is yours :) I just have that one dark roo but the eggs I hate incubating are partridge coloured I would have liked to have lights aswell but brahmas are hard to find around here unfortunately that's why I had to buy the eggs and have them shipped

How old was your meat bird before it could stay outside without heat since they grow so fast? Also has yours started laying yet
I'm in South Mississippi. During the summer I can put all my little ones out at about 4 weeks old. She has not started laying yet. She is the only chicken that we let out of the run because she follows my daughter around like a puppy. She is very sweet and very vocal. Here is a pic of her from yesterday.
