What breed are these two bantams?

Oh, one of those that "just looks like" a certain breed. I've had that experience sometimes too, where I am pretty sure of what breed but can't explain why.

Hopefully the breed will become more obvious as it grows

I think the first one is a male silver laced old inglish game bantam but it is hard to tell because a lot of the more expensive breeds look a lot like that

We had one and we thought at various points in time that he was a Japanese bantam,and duch bantam.also I meant silver duch wing bantam not silver laced.

If he came from a bin of "assorted bantams" in a store, we can probably rule out Serama. Last time I looked, none of the major hatcheries were offering them (small, hard to hatch, don't do well when shipped.) So they haven't been appearing in the stores that order their chicks from hatcheries.

But I agree, it can be hard to sort out many of the other breeds that look so much alike when they are young!

I accidentally deleted the first text I said I think the first one is a male silver duch wing bantom but it is hard to tell because most clean legged bantams look similar.

I'm also saying OEGB for the first chick. The second is probably a bantam cochin/pekin
